Youth Entrepreneur and Leadership Program

Youth will learn the basic
characteristics of successful entrepreneurs, the risks and rewards of running a
business, life skills (including budgeting and investing), the importance of a
business plan, and steps on how to write one.

Who we serve

This program motivates and encourages and prepares youth,
between the ages of 14-17 to start their own business. The Business Center will expose
students to valuable skills that translate into successful business ventures, better
job opportunities, and enhanced real-world skills.

We strive to change the mindsets of young people, so they believe in
themselves and what they can accomplish. Our experiential education model
instills entrepreneurial and economic principles built for prosperity. We inspire
students to overcome barriers and seize opportunities for good.

necessary for our youth to lead lives as thriving, productive citizens

What We Do

This is an Entrepreneurship program that will introduce students to the ideas of
entrepreneurship, creative thinking, and fun while providing interactive activities
to engage students. Students will work in teams to develop a business plan, learn
how to apply for a business loan and about resources in their community.
They also gain an understanding of entrepreneurship as a viable career option
and could intern for a week with LA21 member businesses.
