On Thursday, March 21st, 2024 at 5:30pm at 3500 Lancaster Avenue, LA21-CDC hosted women entrepreneurs in the greater Philadelphia metro area for the 2nd Annual Women Making It Happen event.
Special Guest Speaker Councilperson Jamie Gauthier of the third district spoke to audiences.
Other Speakers included Donna Fountain of Heavenly Harvest Pastries, Tamicka Stephens of 4 Tees Custom and Design and Patricia White of the Commission of the Mayors Commission on Aging (MCOA).
LA21-CDC also recognized the following partners Councilmember Jamie Gauthier received a 2024 Woman of Excellence Award, Ryan Thompson, Vice President and Branch Leader at Truist Bank, and Kersy Azocar, President and CEO of Greenline Access Capital, received the Business Support Partners Award, and Pearl Bailey-Anderson, owner of La-Pearl Beauty Salon and Phyllis Jones-Carter, owner of A Part of Me Boutique, received the Trailblazer Award. Attendees received Achievement Awards.
Guests enjoyed dinner from Scale Up Your Business alumni Nii Adu Bukateria and Heavenly Harvest Pastries, and local restaurant Star Fusion Cuisine.
